THERAPY

We offer therapy to address speech, language, stuttering and social communication. Individual group sessions are scheduled in 30-45 minute increments. Therapy is designed to develop the skills and progress toward the goals identified in each client’s individualized treatment plan.

EVALUATION

This evaluation is meant to assess the specific concerns of you and your child. You will be provided with a written report within two weeks of the scheduled appointment. Evaluations are comprised of age-appropriate standardized assessments combined Comprehensive evaluations for articulation, language, literacy and social communication difficulties are available.  Evaluations typically take 1-3 hours to complete and generally include a parent/caregiver interview, standardized assessments, and informal assessment measures.  The purpose of an evaluation is to obtain a clear picture of what your child is able to do well, what they are having difficulty with and how it impacts their ability to function in everyday life.  You will be provided with a report following the evaluation outlining the results of the evaluation, treatment recommendations and potential goals for treatment as appropriate.  subjective clinical observations and an extensive medical history.

CONSULTATION

Simply Speech Therapy offers one free 30 minute consultation per client. The purpose of the consultation is to determine the client’s needs, review educational and medical records, explain policies, determine if a new evaluation is needed, provide the client with the opportunity to ask questions and to get to know the speech therapist.

COLLABORATION

To ensure a holistic approach to your child’s treatment, we collaborate with all relevant care providers for your child. This means connecting with (as appropriate):

  • Pediatricians

  • Nutritionists

  • Social Workers

  • Psychologists

  • Educators

In addition, we do not hesitate to refer out to specialists when we feel it is necessary. This may involve things such as neuropsychologist consults, swallow studies and referrals to other therapeutic providers such as Occupational or Physical Therapy.
